Spooky Gift Baskets Just in Time for Halloween

The beginning of Halloween dates back to 6,000 years ago, and was only brought to North America within the past 100 years through European immigrants.  The immigrants would celebrate the harvest around the bonfire, share ghost stories, sing, dance, and tell fortunes.

Today, Halloween is the 2nd most commercially successful holiday annually in the U.S.  When kids think of Halloween, most think of candy, cookies, and anything that’s sweet.  Its popularity has lead most people to simply buy candy for trick-or-treaters, forgetting that delicious handmade cookies can have the same effect with children.

In the U.S. trick-or-treaters expect to find candy waiting at every door.  We can’t forget that trick-or-treating evolved from an ancient Celtic tradition of putting out treats and food to remove spirits who roamed the streets at Samhain.

As trick-or-treating is a tradition, Cookies By Design would like to stick with tradition and lend a hand when trick-or-treaters come knocking at your door.  We have a variety of cookie flavors that are festively decorated to fit any child’s taste.  From witches and ghosts to pumpkins and haunted houses, these scary baskets are sure to make a great addition to any child’s bag of goodies.

With the assortment of terrifying cookies, Cookies by Design can help you host your Halloween party.  The baskets are great for setting the mood and are sure to fit in with any theme.  We also have a Halloween cookie decorating kit for children, which can keep kids entertained through the night.  The spooky cookie shapes are perfect for party favors, and kids can take home their decorated creations.

From ancient roots to a commercial holiday, Halloween has changed dramatically over time.  We would like to bring it back to its roots and spice up any trick-or-treaters candy bag with a cookie, or even have these irresistible cookies as a party favor.

Whichever you choose, Cookies By Design is ready to supply your Halloween sweet stash.  Check out the haunting designs to get you prepared for Halloween’s unexpected twists!
